2005 Porsche Boxster

Widely hailed as Porsche’s ‘moderately’ priced car segment, the 2005 Porsche Boxster received a much needed overhaul in 2005. It comes fitted with their lower priced mid-range engines for both the regular Boxster as well as the high performer Boxster S.

The series has been given a revamp, with more powerful engines, new handling enhancements, safety features, and updated styling. The car features head protecting airbags, the first ever on a roadster.

The engine now produces higher horsepower, with the regular 2.7 liter churning out a modest 240 hp. The bigger 3.2 liter engine on the Boxster S produces 280 hp, which is the highest ever in this series.

Another new feature is the variable-ratio power steering. The side windows are larger, and the headlights and tail lamps have been given a totally new look. The 2005 Porsche Boxster series is a real pleasure to drive!
